Lucy & Brett / Engagement

I've always wanted to shoot in a Lavender field so when Lucy suggested we visit The Cotswold Lavender Farm for their engagement shoot I jumped at the chance! The setting was just perfect, row upon row of dreamy purple lavender in full bloom and we were lucky enough to have some gorgeous sunshine. I had a fantastic morning getting to know Lucy & Brett and capturing their love for each other .

Best of 2016

My heart is so full looking back at all these wonderful weddings from the last year. I've met so many lovely lovely couples, photographed some beautiful venues and been welcomed with open arms by family and friends. Choosing these photos has bought it all home how lucky I am to be doing a job I love so much. So grab yourself a cuppa and enjoy having a look back over some of my favourite photos from 2016.

Rebecca & Simon / Wedding

Rebecca & Simon's wedding was a day of such laughter and fun, just as the perfect wedding should be! The Folley in Mackworth is a gorgeous venue and ever since Rebecca's email landed in my inbox I'd been excited about this wedding and it certainly didn't disappoint.  Rebecca had gone to so much effort with the decor and even made the beautiful cake herself, now that's one talented lady!

It was so lovely to be a part of this joyful day and I wish you all the best in your future life together x

Some lovely words from Rebecca: 'Thank you so much for the photos, we absolutely love them! You have done such a wonderful job in capturing every moment of our day. Amazing! thank you'

Lotti & Dave / Wedding

Lotti and Dave's wedding was such a lovely relaxed affair. The ceremony was held in the tiniest Church I've ever seen with the reception back in the garden of Lotti's parents in a marquee. A wooden outhouse, built for the occasion and fondly named 'Shed city' housed 'Bertie's Bar'.  The attention to detail was second to none from the gorgeous afternoon tea on vintage china to the reams of bunting, which decorated the property.

Lotti looked amazing in her Jesus Peiro 2-piece dress and her 12 (yes 12!!) bridesmaids complimented her perfectly in their pale pink gowns. And how can I not mention the honorery 13th bridesmaid Looby the sausage dog, she looked so cute!

I loved being a part of this wedding and Lotti & Dave I wish you the most wonderful future together.

Here's what Lotti said when they received their photos: We've got the wedding photos! They're amazing thank you so much! The packaging was beautiful as well thank you xx

Charlotte & Kelvin / Engagement

I had a great time catching up with Charlotte, Kelvin & Their old dog Tye on the morning of their engagement shoot. They both love the outdoors and often walk Tye in the Lickey Hills so it seemed the perfect setting for their photos. Charlotte & Kelvin are both so easy going & laid back and from what they tell me that will be reflected in their wedding next month...I can't wait!

Emma & Gus / Wedding

Emma & Gus' wedding day was an absolute dream to photograph. Their wedding was held at the chapel at Warwick Boys School followed by the prettiest marquee reception at Emma's parents farm. The day was so relaxed and full of so much love and laughter, just as a perfect wedding should be. Thank you for having me Emma & Gus; it was wonderful.

They said: "We have just watched a slideshow of all of our wedding photos with a bottle of champagne! All we can say is thank you so much for capturing some amazing movements and photos that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. They really are stunning and we cannot thank you enough!"

Alice & Nathanael / Engagement

Oh I do love spring! Nathanael & Alice decided they would like their engagement photos at Birmingham Botanical Gardens and what a perfect choice it was! The sun was shining, the blossom was in full bloom and I had such a great time with these two hearing all about their plans!  Nathanael and Alice are the loveliest couple and I can't wait for their wedding in July, I know it's going to be a wonderful day.

Emma & Gus /Engagement

Aww Emma & Gus are just the loveliest and I had a great time with them and their gorgeous and very excitable pup Teddy (spot the muddy paw prints!) during their pre wedding shoot. Emma & Gus are getting married in May & are having the reception on Emma's parents farm which is where we decided to head for the shoot. I had so much fun hanging out with these two and it's made me even more excited to photograph their wedding!

Lydia & Dave / Wedding

On average couples take 21 months to plan their wedding, Lydia & Dave however decided to plan theirs in just 8 weeks!  You'd have thought that a couple who have been together for over 10 years would take a little longer over things but as Lydia explained to me less time planning means less time to stress! Well they certainly managed to pull it off and the end result was gorgeous.

Lydia & Dave said their I Do's at St Mary's Church, Studley. Lydia's stunning lace dress was from Essence Of Australia; Lydia's sister was bridesmaid and complimented her perfectly in her pale grey Debut dress and the flower girls looked so sweet in their monsoon dresses. After the ceremony we all headed on to Wootton Park for the reception where guests enjoyed a drink in the sunshine, it was such amazing weather for October! I took this opportunity to whisk Lydia & Dave off for their portraits; you've got to love a venue with a lake and a boat! The reception looked lovely and Lydia had made a lot of the personal touches herself including sourcing the gorgeous sunflowers from the market and decorating the jam jars the day before.

Lydia & Dave are an amazing couple who have been through an awful lot so to be able to play a small part in their day and see them declare their love for each other in front of their loved ones, including their two gorgeous children, was so special. Thank you for having me Lydia & Dave, I wish you a wonderful future together xx

Amy & Oliver / Wedding

Let me take you back to the beginning of summer and back to Amy and Oliver's beautiful Cotswold wedding. The wedding was held in the most stunning venue, The Rectory Hotel, Malmesbury and could not have been more perfect. I think if I were to plan my wedding over again (to the same man of course) I'd want it exactly the way Amy and Oliver did. From Amy's stunning lace Wtoo gown & cathedral length veil to the prettiest of flowers, giant balloons, and sweetie jars on the tables, just so unbelievably pretty!

Oliver & Amy I wish you all the happiness in the world...Please can we do it all over again!?
